In order to blog more often, I'm going to change up the format of the blog a bit. I'm still going to post the occasional project or bright idea, but I also want to be an inside source for you on all things design and lifestyle.
I am loving this idea of counter/bar height benches at kitchen islands. The look is eye-catching as well as practical. They are easy to keep straight and orderly. They are perfect for someone who wants the seating but does not want all the legs and clutter. Why not mix it up with one bench and a few stools? As shown you can go with a back or backless.

As a designer I like to incorporate the unexpected into a space, but it has to work too. To me this works on so many levels- not to mention the comfort it gives for curling up and the occasional oversized bum!
Please feel free to leave any comments- tell me a design dilemma I can help you with or a topic you'd like me to inspire you on!
Inspire yourself.

Love this idea- such a cool look!
ReplyDeleteQuestion- what's your favorite paint company? There's some many options in the hardware and home improvement stores- I'd love to know what your go-to company for great paint colors is!
Thanks!
I love Benjamin Moore paint and so do my painters. I love their array of colors and their new eco-friendly line. It is a great quality paint and worth the money. Too often when buying cheaper paint at big box stores, you notice you need to repaint more often. So that's my recommendation!
